This is a group of volcanic islets of black lava, located south of Puerto Villamil (Isabela), with a surface area of just 0.12 km² and accessible only by boat or kayak.
Its name comes from the channel where whitetip sharks (tintoreras) rest during high tide.
Great biodiversity in a compact area: mangroves, marine iguanas, penguins, and shorebirds coexist wonderfully.
