¿What does a tour with Gislandstours include?

All our tours include a certified local guide, ground and/or sea transportation, snorkeling equipment (when applicable), a picnic lunch or lunch at a local restaurant, and entrance fees when necessary. Always in small groups.

Yes, most of our tours are suitable for children, seniors, and people with moderate mobility. If you have any specific needs, please let us know and we can customize the experience for you.

¿In what language are the tours given?

Our guides are trained to offer tours in Spanish and English. If you require another language, we can help you with customized options.

¿Can I scuba dive if I've never done it before?

Yes, this site is ideal for beginner divers with a professional guide.

¿How long is the ferry trip between islands?

Each trip lasts approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the weather and current.

¿What are the departure times?
  • Ferries normally depart at 7:00 and 15:00 from each island. It’s recommended to arrive at least 45 minutes early.
¿Can I bring large luggage or suitcases?

Yes, the ferry allows luggage up to 23kg per person. For extra or special luggage (e.g., bicycles), please inquire before booking.

¿Is it allowed to bring food or drinks on board?

Yes, you can bring snacks or water. Food is not sold on board. Remember to bring a bag in case of seasickness.

¿Is the ferry safe for children or older adults?

Yes, but seasickness precautions are recommended. Seats are covered, and life jackets are mandatory.

¿What happens if the ferry is cancelled due to bad weather?

We’ll reschedule or refund your travel amount according to the operator’s policy. Gtours always offers assistance in these cases.

¿Are there ferries between San Cristóbal and Isabela directly?

No. You must stop in Santa Cruz and take two legs. We can help you coordinate this without any complications.

¿What is the depth of the dive?

Between 12 and 25 meters, depending on the level of the group.

¿Can you snorkel instead of diving?

Yes, but the main experience is diving.

¿Is the water cold?

The temperature varies between 18°C and 24°C, short or long suits are recommended.

¿What is the best time to visit the Galapagos?

The Galapagos can be visited year-round. January through May offers warmer weather and calmer seas; June through December offers cooler temperatures and more marine life. Each season has its own unique charm.

¿How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance, especially during peak season (June-August and December-January), although we also assist with last-minute reservations subject to availability.

¿How to deal with motion sickness?

Here are some tips to deal with motion sickness:

  • 🥗 Avoid fatty and heavy foods before and during your trip. Opt for lighter meals.
  • 🍷☕ Avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they can worsen symptoms.
  • 📵 Avoid reading or using screens during the commute, as they increase nausea.
  • 🛌 Get plenty of rest, as fatigue can make dizziness worse.
  • 💊 If possible, take motion sickness medication before your trip. There are several over-the-counter options that can help.
¿What happens if there is bad weather?

Safety is our priority. If weather prevents the tour from taking place, we will offer alternative options or reschedule based on your dates.
